The Albion has been operating as a hotel for over 145 years. Current owner Kim Muszynski bought the hotel in the 1980s and with a little help from the Ministry of Culture and Communications performed extensive renovations, giving guests modern amenities while at the same time keeping the original Georgian Colonial architecture intact. Located on Bayfield’s Main Street, it’s just a five minute walk to the lake shore.
Our food is delicious and our pub is a jovial country-town jewel, but if you’re on vacation you need more than food and fun; you need a relaxing night’s rest. We offer our four beautiful rooms all year long to keep your sleeps comfortable and cozy.
Each room is different, but they all give the same feeling located somewhere between an old-world country inn and a lake-side log cabin (with running water and electricity of course!). All our rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning, and heat but they also maintain that taste of country we are so proud of with their antique furniture, classic rural paintings, and baskets of fresh towels.
The antique furniture and country feel make these rooms much more personal than standard hotel rooms. A common entrance allows balcony access.
Our largest room offers a gas fireplace and bedsitting. Our mid-sized room is a bit bigger than our standard room. You can also use the common entrance to relax on the balcony. A fourth midsize room provides private balcony access.
Included with all rooms is a continental breakfast served in the common room from 8-10 AM.
